I'm lovin' the new Emma

Sorry it's taken me so long to post... It's been busy around here. Tonight is Emma. Masterpiece Theater did it again. I cant wait until it starts for this weeks new hour of matchmaking! :) I get so excited! The question is who will be watching the superbowl and who will be watching Emma in the B's house? (aka: my house) Well since we only get TPT in my parents room I think it will just be my sis and I.

Here's the cover... I want it.

edit: ok, tonight, instead of only one hour, it was two hours! So it finished up tonight. Ahhh! I love it sooo much! I think it was my favorite. So what did you think?

What a Wonderful Day!

Today is my birthday. I kinda wish that would've let me off the hook for school. Sadly, it didn't. I received lots of nice presents. My daddy told me he's going to take me out to lunch somewhere and I'm excited about that. I was wrong about knowing all my gifts. I should've known my mom had something up her sleeve! We're not going skiing, as it's very cold. I hope we can go skating. That would be really fun! I haven't gone this whole winter. We don't really have a pond as of right now. All the cattails took it over. I hope by next winter there will be water in there.

Stationary from Emily.

My Sweater! I picked it out so I was really excited! :)

Beautiful Doodles! This is so cute.

A heart bracelet. I love it! (just in time for valentines day too!)

Chocolate Covered Oranges

Today I made chocolate covered oranges. Yummo. Our family went hog wild when I brought them in from outside. I think they were a hit. It was so simple I can't believe I've never done them before. It's almost time for supper here so this can't be long. I'm excited for AWANA tonight. It's a children's ministry at our church. I went when I was little so it's fun to help. After that Emily and I go to youth group.

So easy to make! So delicious too!

{Ok, I think that this photo is sideways... I don't have time to fix it. Sorry.}

Busy Day

So, tonight is American Idol. It seems like a good way to end a busy day. This morning we went to art class (I'll post some photos of my finished artwork) then we went to Border's. I got to pick out my birthday present! OK yes I do know all my birthday presents... I know. It's sad. I don't have too long to get them though! This Friday I will have them all in my possession. :) I started milking it tonight. Daniel was like: ''Leah! You can't start milking your birthday yet!" Me: ''Yes I can! You started two weeks before yours!'' So... Maybe it wasn't two weeks, but you never know! Oh yeah, the highlight of the whole day: dentist! Ugh. Big no likie. I felt like I was going to barf when she put the fluoride in my mouth. I'm just glad it's done with. Now, with Lacey sleeping on my lap as things are peaceful, it seems like everything is right in the world.

This is the cake I want. Here you go Emily!

Time to Party!

So, yesterday, we went to a party. It was amazing (as usual). Our good friends opened up their home and it was a great turn-out! They have gatherings more then most families, which is such a blessing! I just love to go to their house and hang out with them. It's a family of 5 boys and an exchange student and a young lady who is staying with them. Unfortunately, I didn't bring my camera. :( I brought my friend Amanda, so I had someone my age the (almost) whole time. We also invited another family to come with us. Sometimes it's a bit overwhelming with all the people there, but you just squeeze past everyone and you'll be fine! I really had a wonderful time.

A Gift For My Grandma

Today is my grandma's birthday. So I drew her this picture. Drawing is my love. It makes me so happy. Why don't I do it more often? I should get my priorities straight here. I couldn't decide if I should color it or not. So I took my mom's advice and colored it. I hope she likes it...

Black and White

Here it is all colored except for the dirt. (I don't feel like uploading one that has the dirt painted in)

Me and my animal (2006 I think)

Today, Me an my lil babe are hanging out. I was doing school, but who wants to do school when you could blog? There's no contest here. Not that Jewish customs aren't interesting, but I'd rather do this.

Northwoods Chicken Stew

Here is a recipe you should try! My whole family (my Grandma too) loved it. There was only enough for me to have it for lunch today. I think next time I make it I'll double it, because it is supposed to serve 4. (It served 6 without seconds) It was a little time consuming to make, but eating it made it all worth it!

The finished result!

The Great Outdoors

Lately, or more this weekend, I have been spending more time outside. I like it. But, I didn't quite get to my school reading today either, so I suppose there's a trade off. Daniel has a little snowmobile (our family is into snowmobiling) and we were pulling each other around on it today. It was pretty fun. My mom and I also went snowshoeing before church. Our family has passes to our local ski park and we went there on Friday. So I suppose I got my exercise for today. Happy Sunday!

Snowshoes! It's really fun. Lacey loves it.

Our ski place. It's pretty neato.

Little Owl

My piece of jewelery for today. Isn't it so cute? I love owls (though, when I hear them at night I kinda scares me) so, I knew I had to have this little baby the moment I laid eyes on it.

Happy Saturday!

[sorry for the short post. to say i got really frusterated trying to post something earlier is an undersatement.]

Little Dorrit

Tonight, we are watching Little Dorrit. It's the second time we've seen it. I forgot a little bit of it, so it will be new. Our family loves movies by BBC and A&E. You should check it out if you want to watch a 8 hour movie. Yes, it is a bit long so you either have to start it early or split it up which is what we do. Hope you like it!

Places to Go, People to See

Yes, all these places, are the places I'd love to be. I've been to them all except Paris and Colorado. I'd love to go back. I'm more of a home body, but I certainly love to travel! I always got so excited whenever we go on a trip. Home is special when you get back too. I love to dream... Happy Thursday!

Colorado. Our dear friends moved here a few years ago. What better reason to go?

Michigan. Camping! Every summer.

Maine. L.L. Bean makes me jealous.

Paris... What more is there to say?

Texas! I love it. (the southern drawls are so cute!)

Florida. OK. Maybe I'll move here someday.

P.S. I had an amazing date with my sis today. Other then the orthodontist appointment, we had an awesome day just the two of us! :)

My Little Pooch

At Daniel's suggestion, I am going to write about my little baby. Yes, that is what we call her. My little Yorkshire Terrier is a sweetie... When she wants to be. ;) But of course, since the moment we set eyes on her, we knew she was "it". On a rainy, May day we drove to Iowa and picked her up. They gave her a bath, and when they brought her in, she was wrapped up a towel, and shivering like crazy. (Which she does whenever she's cold, excited, scared, or just sitting there...) But, I think that the females in this home are the only ones who like her... According to my father, she is not a "real" dog. I think 4 pounds is too small for him. No, she isn't perfect, because she does sometimes not hold it, and she has -ah- up-chucked in the house. Theodore traumatizes her and they don't really get along. I think they like to fight! Here are some photos I have:

Back in the Olden Days...

Here are some photos that were taken from 2001 -2003. It doesn't seem like that long of a time, but for me it's amazing how much I did and how many memories I have now. I'm so glad my parents took us on vacations and road trips. Those are my favorite times to look back on. They made such fun memories that I'll have forever! It always makes me happy to go and look at our photo albums and see what happened before me and when I was a baby. I hope you enjoy looking at these as much as I do!

My Favorite Things...

Rain drops on roses, Whiskers on kittens, bright copper kettles and warm woolen mittens... Ahh I just love that movie! We just watched it on New Years Eve when we were waiting for midnight at our cabin while munching on candy. I know that will be a memory I'll have forever. It was my first time spending New Years away from home, and not having Emily there. But, enough about my cabin. (Although you will hear about it more later!) Here are some of my favorite things:

4-H Bowling

Last Thursday, we had our annual 4-H bowling. Since I've already told you how much I love this group, I don't need to say that it was a blast. It was a bit confusing, because we had two time limits, for a hour or a hour and a half. Other than that it was quite simple. It gave me time to talk to my friends and have a marvelous time. I actually had the same group on my lane as last year! On the second game we got silly and tried many different ways of bowling, such as covering up our eyes with a hat while throwing the ball (That's how I got a strike!) and pushing it with our feet. It's too bad all my days couldn't be as fun as going bowling and going to friends houses, but I suppose, it wouldn't be as special that way.

A Day in the Life of a Sibling

Today, I went to my friends house and we had a lot of fun. I really enjoy visiting their house because she has 3 adorable siblings. It gives me my "little brother and sister" fix. I have to say, I'm not sure I could handle having more than one younger sibling. Of course, I wouldn't trade Dan for any other brother out there! He is always making us laugh. I always wanted a little sister though. Instead, God blessed me with a brother. But today I got to play "pretty pretty princess" with Ashlyn. Of course, Kinna had to play too. She was very helpful in spinning the dial to see how many spaces people went. All in all, I had a wonderful day. Here are the photos we took:

Silly Kinna!
